JC Pennington was a
U.S. Army Warrant Officer during the Vietnam War. From August
1968 to August 1969 he flew Huey helicopters. He flew D
and H model slicks for six months as well as C model gunships for
another six. After spending a total of five years on active
duty, he entered the newspaper business and is currently the General
Manager of the Ft. Hood Sentinel in Killeen, TX.
Dr. James JF Forest is the
Director of Terrorism Studies and Associate Professor of Political
Science at the U.S. Military Academy. His duties in the Combating
Terrorism Center include developing counterterrorism education
programs for junior officers and security personnel, and teaching
courses on terrorism / counterterrorism, information warfare /
cyberterrorism, comparative politics, international relations theory,
and African political development. Security clearance is TS. Prior to
this position, Dr. Forest served for three years as the Assistant Dean
for Academic Assessment at the U.S. Military Academy.
